Mrs. Doris Hutcheson Palmer, 80, of Andalusia, died Fri., Dec. 25, 2009, in a Columbus, Ga., hospital.
Mrs. Palmer was a member of the First Baptist Church and active with the American Red Cross.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Wed., Dec. 30, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Burial will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Darrel (Ann) Palmer of Montgomery and Gary (Rebecca) Palmer of Charlotte, N.C., Kathie (Tommie) Hall of Phenix City and Mary Beth (Rick) Bearden of Birmingham; her grandchildren, Chad Palmer, Jenny Rogers, Joel Palmer, Evan Palmer, Emily Federinko, Brian Federinko, Adam Bearden and Patrick Bearden; a great-grandchild, Mason Palmer; her sisters, Mary Alice (Sam) Waters of Union Springs and Joyce (Roy) Whittle of Pensacola, Fla.; and her brothers, Donald (Mima Jo) Hutcheson of Pell City and John Will (Myrtle) Hutcheson of Greer, S.C.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Palmer.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church.
