Pleasant Home remains undefeated in its area after defeating Kinston on Tuesday night, 53-37.

During the game, Blake Herman and Cody Taylor suffered injuries, but boys coach Jerry Davis said the team had control of the game.

“We got out to a decent lead (Tuesday night),” he said. “They made us slow down. It was anything but pretty. Right now, it’s a ‘W.’”

Ethan King led the Eagles with 21 points.

This Friday night, Pleasant Home (14-5, 3-0 in Class 1A, Area 3) will have its homecoming game against McKenzie.

McKenzie lost 41-39 to Florala on Tuesday night, which was the Wildcats’ second win of the season.

“That helps life a lot if we can get healthy,” Davis said. “We’re going to need some kids that haven’t had a lot of playing time to step up right now.”

Tip off Friday is at 4:30 p.m. with the B-team.
