This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo.

For many years the Rattlesnake Rodeo Beauty Pageant brought young ladies from all over the south to Opp to help celebrate this great event.

To begin celebrating the 50th anniversary, the pageant will return to the rodeo this year and will be held on Sat., March 13, 2010, at 2 p.m.

The pageant will include age groups for ages 6 – 21.

Applications for the 2010 Rattlesnake Rodeo Beauty Pageant can be found at area schools, salons, dress shops, Opp Chamber of Commerce and Opp City Hall or at rattlesnakerodeo.com.

Application deadline is March 9 at 5 p.m.
