Seventh-ranked Andalusia capped a three-game winning spree Friday night on the road in Opp, defeating the Bobcats 89-53.

Last week wasn’t a good week for the Bulldogs (21-4) as they lost to area opponent Thomasville on Friday and Dothan on Saturday.

Friday night capped off a different, but successful week for Andalusia.

On Tuesday night, Andalusia defeated Class 1A No. 1 Brantley 63-60. Thursday night, Andalusia beat Northview High School (Dothan), 68-51.

The Bulldogs led throughout their contest against the Bobcats and were ahead 22-15 after the first quarter, 44-31 at halftime and 66-42 at the end of the third quarter.

“We basically took control of the game in the second half just like we talked about at halftime,” Andalusia coach Richard Robertson said. “But, we’ve got to get ready to play on the defensive for the different alignments these people are playing at us.”

Jacard Townsend led Andalusia with 20 points and Justin Dooley added 19. Quayshaun Denson had 11.

Red Level boys 64, McKenzie boys 54

Nick Dorsey led Red Level with 16 points, James Feagin added 12 points and Raheem Bullock chipped in 10 points in their team’s win. In B-team action, Red Level beat McKenzie, 44-38.

Red Level led 20-13 after the first quarter, 36-21 at halftime and 53-35 after the third.
