RLS boys, SHS girls get wins

Three Red Level players finished in double figures Thursday night in their team’s 54-40 win over Straughn in Red Level.

James Feagin and O.J. McGhee both led Red Level with 14 points apiece and Troy Nolen added 10 points.

In addition, Preston Ryce also had a good night for the host team with 10 assists and seven points.

Red Level (13-11) led throughout the contest, taking a 12-4 lead after the first quarter and a 19-14 lead at the break.

In the second half, Red Level led 36-24 after the third quarter.

Jacob Bybee led Straughn with 12 points.

In girls action Thursday night, Straughn came out with the victory over Red Level.

Straughn led 17-8 after the first quarter, 36-16 at halftime and 57-25 after the third in its win.

Kayla Teel led Straughn with 24 points (18 of which were in the first half) and Kimberly Teel added 15. Tiffany Freeney had 13 for Straughn.

Red Level’s Lania Paulk and Koneshia Calloway both led with 11 points apiece.
