The Andalusia City department of Leisure Services is holding the 2010 city league baseball and softball registration until Fri., Feb. 12.

Players can come and register at the Johnson Park Gym facility from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The registration fee for the Babe Ruth softball and Cal Ripken leagues for boys and girls is $35.

The Babe Ruth softball league is for girls ages 5-18 as of Dec. 31, 2009. The Cal Ripken league is for boys ages 5-12 as of May 1, 2010.

The registration free for boys ages 13-15 for the Babe Ruth league is $45. The age cut off is May 1, 2010.

Discounts are available for multiple players in the same household.

In addition, scholarships can be made available, but must be turned in by Feb. 12.

The girls tryouts is on Mon., Feb. 22 until 6 p.m. 7-to-8-year-olds are on girls field No. 1, 9-to-10-year-olds are on girls field No. 2, 11-to-12-year-olds are on girls field No. 3, and 13-to-15-year-olds are on girls field No. 4.

The boys tryouts is on Tues., Feb. 23 until 6 p.m. 7-to-8-year-olds are on MF No. 1, 9-to-10-year-olds are on Little League field No. 1, 11-to-12-year-olds are on the CE field, and 13-to-15-year-olds are on the Waltman-Russo Field.
