Sally Gatlin

Sally Jo Gatlin, 87, of Dothan, passed away Mon., Feb. 1, 2010, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., Feb. 6, at the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia with the Rev. Tim Trent officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Private graveside services will follow in Andalusia Memorial Gardens.
She was born on Oct. 1, 1922, in Troy and spent the early part of her life there. After World War II, she married James Edward Gatlin Sr. and moved to Andalusia, where she spent most of her adult life. She moved to Dothan in the early 1990s. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Andalusia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Land Solomon and Verdie King Solomon; her husband, James Edward Gatlin Sr.; and her sons, James Edward Gatlin Jr. and Christopher Land Gatlin.
Survivors include her son, Steve Gatlin and his wife, Cere, of Leesburg, Ga.; grandchildren, Daphne, Jamie, Risha, Grace, Russell, Christopher, Laura and Chad; and three great-grandchildren.
