A Tuesday morning, two-vehicle accident has claimed the life of an 80-year-old Opp man.

Opp’s assistant police chief Michael “Mike” McDonald said the accident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Alabama Highways 52 and 299.

Identities of those involved were not released; however he said a vehicle operated by a 42-year-old Opp man was westbound on Alabama Hwy. 52 when it collided with a vehicle operated by an 80-year-old Opp man traveling northbound on Alabama Hwy. 299.
