Ruth Mae Williams Sweat, 86, died Thurs., Feb. 11, 2010, in a local hospital.
She was born Dec. 9, 1923, in Red Level.
Funeral services will be held Sun., Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery with the Rev. Drexel Copeland and Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Music will be provided by Kristen Wells Wiggins.
Visitation will be tonight at 6 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Williams Sweat; her parents, William Riley Williams and Ella Grae Spivey Williams; her son, William Charles Sweatt; a brother, James Riley Williams; and a sister, Lois Woodard.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Sue and Ralph Wells of Andalusia; four grandchildren, Kristen Wells (Russell) Wiggins, Jason Charles Sweat, Kimberly Wells and Ashley Sweatt; three great-grandchildren, Riley Grace Lowery, Maggie Ruth Wiggins and Jack Russell Wiggins.
Pallbearers will be Russell Wiggins, Jerry Spivey, Don Spivey, Alvin Sims, Billy Piggott and Mike Williams.
