The Red Level Tigers are anxious to get underway at the Covington County baseball tournament this weekend.

Today, the Tigers will start with Florala at 6 p.m. and will conclude with Pleasant Home to end day one of the tournament.

On Saturday, the Tigers face off against Straughn in the final game.

“We’re excited to get these games started,” Red Level coach Tony Ingram said.

The Tigers were scheduled to start their season on Tuesday, but the game was canceled due to inclement weather.

Their first game was Thursday night against Brantley.

On the tournament itself, Ingram said the field of teams is “wide open.”

“If you look at everything, Straughn would have to be the favorite,” he said. “We’re not conceding anything,” he said. “With Pleasant Home, I look for them to be better. Florala has to be improved.”

Ingram said he hopes the weather cooperates with the tournament.

“It’s a great show case for the county teams to come out and see them all in one place,” Ingram said. “I just encourage everybody to come out and see what the county has to offer.”

Concessions will be available and admission is $5.
