After getting its eighth win of the season Tuesday night, the Straughn Tigers baseball team is now at the No. 3 spot in the Class 3A Alabama Sports Writers Association poll that was released today.

In softball, three additional teams in the area have also been ranked.

Andalusia is now at No. 9 in Class 4A, Straughn is at No. 6 in Class 3A, and Pleasant Home is at No. 2 in Class 1A.

Andalusia’s softball team is now at 3-0, Straughn is 2-2-1 and Pleasant Home is 3-0.
