On Tuesday night, Red Level coach Tony Ingram said his team executed well in all areas of the game in a 4-3 win over Pleasant Home.

“We played well pretty much in all phases of the game,” he said. “We couldn’t really ask for anything else.”

Tonight, the Tigers will travel to play area opponent Mobile Christian in a doubleheader starting at 4.

Ingram said this series with the Leopards is huge for the team.

“It’s the biggest game of the year,” he said. “I would have liked to have played more before opening the area.

“It is what it is,” he said. “We’ve got to get ready to go down and play a very good baseball team.”

Ingram said Mobile Christian has many starters returning from last year’s team.

“They were good last year,” Ingram said. “Anytime you hang ‘Academy’ or ‘Christian’ on a school — they typically have a good baseball team. They’re very fundamentally sound.”

With the recent inclement weather canceling games in the area, Ingram said he hopes to be able to fit this one in.

The weather forecast in Mobile calls for a 30 percent chance of rain with isolated thunderstorms in the Mobile area.

“We’re just anxious to get this area started,” Ingram said.
