Patricia Ann Harrison Joyner, 50, of Florala, passed away on Sat., March 13, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with recurrent breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, William Joyner of Florala; two daughters, Kandise (Mike) Maddox Finley and Charity (Heith) Maddox Fountain of Andalusia; two stepsons, David Joyner of Washington and Jeremy Joyner of Andalusia; five grandchildren, Kristen and Courtney Finley and Austin, Mallory and Ema Fountain; two sisters, Pam Hutcheson (Gary) and Tammy Harrison, all of Andalusia.
She is also survived by one maternal aunt, Carol (Bobby) Barton of Florala; nieces, Kristy (Jason) Hutcheson Martin, Kelley (Jeremy) Hutcheson Harrison, Kimberly (Marty) Hutcheson Phillips, Kasey Jeffcoat Hall; and nephew, Kevin (Danielle) Jeffcoat; numerous paternal aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Becky Harrison; brother, Mickey Harrison; and great nephew, Brody Harrison.
She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved her family and lived by the motto, “Live long; laugh often; love unconditionally. Smile every day. Enjoy your family, and your life and just be happy.”
Funeral services will be held today, Tues., March 16, at Evans Funeral Home in Florala. Pallbearers will be Eric Nolen, C. J. Tatum, Kevin Sparagowski, Marty Phillips, Jason Martin and Jeremy Harrison. The family will accept friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. today prior to services.
