Betty Kelley

Beloved sister and good friend, Betty Jean Kelley, 60, of Opelika, passed away on March 30, 2010, while in residence at Bethany House of Auburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeanette Nichols Kelley and Winfred Earl Kelley; and brother, Roger Wayne Kelley.
Survivors include twin brother, Bobby Lynn Kelley of Opelika, brother, Hollis (Virginia) Kelley of Franklin, Tenn.; sister-in-law Gwen Kelley of Andalusia; nephew, Ashley (Sandra) Kelley of Andalusia; nieces, Kay (Quint) Maddox of Andalusia and Brooke (Patton) Osborn of New Orleans; nephews, Hollis (AnneMarie) Kelley Jr. of Glenwood Springs, Co., and Chris (Lurene) Kelley of Memphis, Tenn. There are 11 great-nieces and nephews, and a very large host of friends including the Agape Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Opelika as well as a very special friend, Delaine Borden.
She graduated from Pleasant Home High School in Andalusia and from Auburn University. She had been an employee of Auburn University in the electrical and computer engineering department for the last 37 years.
Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church of Opelika on Thurs., April 1, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be in the parlor of the church immediately following the services. Graveside services and burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia on April 2 at 10:30 a.m. Following the services, the family will receive friends and family at Carolina Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Andalusia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Opelika Building Fund or Bethany House of Auburn.
