Louise Black Diamond Freeland, 85, passed away Fri., April 2, 2010, in a Birmingham hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Alford Diamond and A.W. “Chic” Freeland; six brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Mitchell and Betty (Tommy) Lovoy; grandchildren, Keith (Traci) Mitchell and Angie (David) Vasquez; great-grandchildren, Bradley Jones, Haleigh Mitchell, Hillary Mitchell and Harrison Mitchell; special friend, Stella Capps; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Mon., April 5, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery today, Tues., April 6, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the building fund at Northside Baptist Church, 2950 Citizens Parkway, Selma, AL 36701 or to one’s favorite charity.
