Jacky Ray Partridge, 57, a resident of Paxton, Fla., passed away Tues., March 30, 2010, in a Florala hospital.
He was born Sept. 5, 1952, in Andalusia. A former employee of Louisiana Pacific in Lockhart for 23 years, he was employed with Walton County, Fla., for more than 10 years at the time of his death. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with his family. He loved working with wood and was an expert craftsman. He loved watching movies, going to the movies, watching wrestling and going to yard sales. He was an awesome negotiator. If you knew him, you knew he loved his children, grandchildren and he loved to smile.
Survivors are two daughters, Mandy Partridge Petty and husband, Brian, of New Harmony, Fla., and Sandy Partridge Hunt and husband, Tom, of Florala; sons, Andrew Robert Partridge of Florala and Jimmy Bulger of Andalusia; former wife, Kathy Stewart Partridge of Paxton, Fla.; mother and stepfather, Mary Emma Bass and George W. Bass of the Carolina Community; sister, Betty J. Wambles of Andalusia; brother, Bob Partridge of Opp; three grandchildren, Tristan Stewart Petty, Sierra Faith Petty, Ashton Connor Hunt and an unborn grandson. He was a son-in-law to Betty and Roy Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rueben Partridge, and two brothers, Pete Partridge and Ethridge Partridge.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sat., April 3, at Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. William Aplin officiating. Interment followed in the Paxton Cemetery.
