Opp falls out of recent poll

Class 4A Opp fell out of the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s baseball rankings poll that was released Thursday.

The Bobcats lost two straight to Greenville and area opponent, Brewbaker Tech.

Opp is currently 19-4.

Straughn is still at the No. 2 spot in Class 3A, and Pleasant Home remained at the No. 7 spot in Class 1A.

In softball, Andalusia dropped a couple spots to No. 9 in Class 4A, Straughn dropped to No. 7 in Class 3A, and Pleasant Home dropped to No. 8 in Class 1A.

The poll, sponsored by the ASWA, was released today.
