Convicted child molester Perry Demon Parrish received 17 life sentences Wednesday for molesting a girl for more than seven years.

Parrish was found guilty in February of 17 child sex crimes stemming from incidents beginning in 2001 and involving a then-6-year-old girl.

She reported the crime to her mother in 2008, at the age of 12.

Parrish’s crimes included four counts of sex abuse of a child under 12; seven counts of sodomy and six counts of sex abuse.

Time for each count of the specific crimes is set to run concurrently; however, Circuit Judge Ashley McKathan sentenced Parrish to serve three of those 17 life sentences consecutively.

Parrish will not be eligible for parole and will spend the rest of his life in prison, District Attorney Greg Gambril said.
