Here chick, chick,” the children said as they enjoyed the animals featured at the annual Alfa young farmer petting zoo Thursday.The event, held at the Covington Center Arena, saw more than 600 said preschoolers, kindergarteners and teachers from every school in Covington County.Students had a chance to touch and pet a variety of farm animals, including baby chicks, ponies, donkeys, goats and cows, as well as an opportunity to learn about the machines used on the farm.
