Janie Goolsby

Janie D. Goolsby of Andalusia passed away in a Montgomery hospital Thurs., April 22, 2010. She had suffered a fall two weeks prior and was in rehab to recover when her condition failed.
She was the widow of C.W. Goolsby Jr. and was an educator, having taught in both Alabama and Florida. She was a great supporter of Auburn football. Golf and dominoes were her favorite. She enjoyed horses, dogs and riding the wagon and field trials. She enjoyed raising cows with her family and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia.
She is survived by her two sons, Whit Goolsby and wife Kay of Luverne and William Goolsby and wife Julie of Montgomery; grandchildren, Gibian Waits and husband Josh, Craig Goolsby and wife Sonya, Stephanie Corbett and husband Phillip, and Casey Goolsby and wife Jessica; and great-grandchildren, Alex Goolsby, Walt Goolsby, Wyatt Cornett and Olivia Sue Cornett. A grandson, Kevin Goolsby, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sun., April 25, at the First United Methodist Church in Andalusia with the Rev. Tim Trent officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Goolsby, Casey Goolsby, Al Goolsby, Phillip Cornett and Josh Waits.
