Covington County residents flocked to the Kiwanis Community Center Monday night for the annual Taste of Covington County, a fundrasier for the Red Cross. Executive Director Merrill Davis said all of the 400 tickets were pre-sold for the event. Ofelia Quesada of Ofelia’s Italian Restaurant serves up some meatballs to Curtis Simpson. Davis said the Red Cross raised some $6,000 from sponsorships and expects to exceed the $10,000 goal. This is the primary fundraiser for the organization.
