John Ray Pitts, 88, of Andalusia, died Thurs., April 28, 2010, in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sat., May 1, at 10 a.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Stewart officiating. Interment will be in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. tonight at Foreman Funeral Home.
He is survived by his two sons, Gary (Susan) Pitts of Andalusia and Ronald (Jane) Pitts of Tuscon, Ariz.; six grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Jackson and Mildred Ellis, both of Opp, and Katie Spurlin and husband Billy of Scottsboro, Ala.; brother Don Pitts and wife Mary of Phenix City; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cory Pitts, Lee Hall, Josh Williams, Lucky Cope, Mike Tyler and Tim Barton.
