A two vehicle crash Sunday afternoon sent an Opp man to a Dothan hospital.

A spokesman for the Alabama State Troopers said Johnny B. Bledsoe, 62, of Opp, was traveling on U.S. 331 in Covington County when his tractor was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Lauren E. Russell, 24, of Andalusia.

The initial investigation indicates that Bledsoe’s tractor was traveling north on US 331 when the Russell vehicle struck him from behind.   Bledsoe was ejected off the tractor and life flighted to Flowers hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  Russell was treated at the scene and released.

The crash occurred at 2:35 p.m. about four miles north of Opp and Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
