Fundraising for Dream Park begins today

Just like Micheal Owens, 5, reaches for the next ring while playing at the Dream Park Thursday, a committee working to improve the park is reaching out to the community beginning today to raise money to renovate and expand the park. Fundraising will jump start today at 10 a.m. at Superior Bank in conjunction with the bank’s community appreciation day. There are several options to help. Chances are being sold on a Big Green Egg Grill, which was donated by Cooperative Propane and Superior Bank, and Howell Nursery has graciously donated plants to be sold on site. All the day’s proceeds are to benefit the Dream Park. Winner of the grill will be announced at 2 p.m. on WFXX Fox 107.7. On top of this, Dream Park representatives will be there selling handprints and fence pickets for loved ones. Cost is $25 for handprints and $50 for pickets, which will be cast and painted at a later date.
