$95K in scholarships awarded

Some $95,000 is scholarships were awarded to local students pursuing degrees in the medical field Tuesday.
Andalusia Health Services, Inc. provides scholarships each year to students entering the medical field.
In return for scholarship money, students sign contracts indicating they will work in Covington County for one year for every year they receive scholarship assistance scholarship selection committee chair Wayne Bennett said.
Those selected for the scholarships are Elliott Dansby, Sonya Gouge, Alicia Kendrick, Kristy Martin, Aaron O’Connell, Rebecca Williamson, Kristin Cosby, Kristin Hudson, Lauren Park, Natasha Phillips, Blake Ramirez, Michael Smith, Jennifer Bradley,  Sherry Wright, Courtney Bass, Dana Cross, Elizabeth Smith, Janet Hutto, Meredith Greene, Shannon Harris, Courtney Whitman, Hali Caylor and Natalie Fuqua.
