Saints force ‘if necessary’ game: updated

UPDATE: Play has resumed for the Saints today at the Southeastern Regional Tournament in Martinsville, Va. after a short rain delay.

The Saints are trailing 7-5 in the top of the eighth inning with no outs and two runners on base before play was delayed due to rain.

The Saints scored two runs in the second inning, one run in the third and two runs in the fourth to cut into Lenoir’s lead.

Further updates regarding when the game will resume will be posted when the information becomes available.

The Saints defeated top-ranked Lenoir Community College 10-6 today in the winner’s bracket championship game at the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Southeast Regional Tournament in Martinsville, Va.

With this win, the Saints will play Lenoir again today at 2 p.m. EST in the regional championship finals.
