White Sox beat Twins, 17-3

Keith Edgar allowed three runs on two hits and struck out two in the White Sox’s 17-3 win over the Twins Tuesday night in Babe Ruth baseball action at Johnson Park’s Waltman-Russo Field.

The White Sox scored two runs in the first inning, four runs in the third and 11 runs in the fourth on their way to the win.

Edgar and Lucas Lumpkin scored in the first inning on a single and an RBI from Cody Crowell.

Brett Hudson, Winston Riley, Rhett Cook and Crowell all scored in the third inning on four hits and one walk.

Riley scored Hudson on a single; Cook scored Riley on a single; Crowell scored Cook on a single; and Jordan McLelland scored Crowell on a double.

In the fourth inning, the White Sox’s 11 runs came on seven hits. Crowell had two hits, Riley had one hit, Cook had one hit, McLelland had one hit and Zack Cunningham had one hit.

The Twins scored one run in the third inning and two runs in the fifth.
