DAVID RAY POWELL
Mr. David Ray Powell of Houma, La., passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Keahey Funeral Home.

FAY REDDISH
Mrs. Fay Reddish, age 77, of Morristown, Tenn., and formerly of Covington County, passed away Sun., May 23, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thurs., May 27, at the Sanford Assembly of God Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. Survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Stimmell of Whiteburg, Tenn.; brothers, Randy Reddish of Stuart, Florida, David Reddish of Birmingham; sister, Margie Armor of Milton, Fla.; grandchildren, Travis D. Croxdale, Heather Gordon, Samuel Stimmell; great-grandchildren, Jacob Stimmell, Elizabeth Stimmell, Aaron Long, and Travis D. Croxdale. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Reddish.

TARA DAWN PETTY
Miss Tara Dawn Petty, 35, of Pensacola, formerly of Andalusia, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Pensacola. Funeral services for Miss Petty will be held Thurs., May 27 at 10 a.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Minister Doug Williams will officiate.
Miss Petty is survived by her parents, Gary and Brenda Petty of Andalusia; a sister, Ginger Wilson of Birmingham; a nephew, Connor Wilson of Birmingham; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved dog, Sam.
Pallbearers will be Jason Tatum, Jeb Tatum, Brandon Davis, Garrett Davis, Jason Petty and Royce Petty.
The body will lie in state from 5 p.m., today at Foreman Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Tara Petty Memorial Scholarship Fund at any Wachovia bank.

CHARLES GREGORY “GREG” MCCORD
Mr. Charles Gregory “Greg” McCord, 53, of Opp, died Sat., May 22, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Tues., May 25, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial was in the Henderson Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Phyllis McCord of Opp; daughters and son-in-law Melissa McCord Amos (Chris) of Prattville; Anna Bay McCord of Andalusia; son, Jay McCord of Andalusia; and grandson, Brooks Amos.
McCord was preceded in death by his father, Ray McCord.

DORMAN MADDOX
Mrs. Margaret Davis Dorman Maddox, 90, of Montgomery, died Mon., May 24 , 2010, in the Luverne hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10.a.m., today, Wed., May 26, at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Billy W. and Shirley Dorman of Montgomery; a grandson, Jeff Dorman of Montgomery; her sisters, Bonnie Faye Earnhardt of Destin, Fla., and Valeta Dupree of Houma, La.; a brother, Robert A. Davis of Andalusia; and several nieces and nephews.

JANIE LEE TARTE BASS
Mrs. Janie Lee Tarte Bass, age 90, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away peacefully Sun., May 23, 2010, in Jacksonville, Fla., after celebrating her 90th birthday.
She was the loving wife of James Verlin Bass, who preceded her in death by only a year; a devoted mother to her three children, who succeed her, James M. Bass of Monterey, Calif.; Patricia Bass Lincoln of Columbia, S.C.; and Roger D. Bass of Jacksonville, Fla.
She also leaves five beautiful grandchildren and five precious great-grandchildren.
She loved the Lord and was a blessing to all who knew her during her long and fruitful life.
She was a teacher and mentor to countless numbers of the local Baptist churches she served at each location she lived in Florida, Mississippi and Alabama.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bass will be held today, Wed., May 26, at 2 p.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one-hour prior to services.
Rev. Dick Lincoln will officiate the services.

BOBBY GENE RHODES
Mr. Bobby Gene Rhodes, 74, of Opp died Mon., May 24, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., today, Wed., May 26, from the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Weber officiating and burial will follow in the Rhodes Cemetery in Kinston.
Survivors include his wife, Brunese Rhodes of Opp; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve (Ann) Rhodes of Andalusia; David (Gwen) Rhodes of Kinston; Shawn (Jeannie) Rhodes of Opp; daughter Tanya McCallum of Opp; 22 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother James (Mary) Rhodes of Opp; two sisters, Grace (Jimmy) Ludlum of Montgomery; and Betty Castleman of Enterprise.
Mr. Rhodes was preceded in deaht by his son, James Rhodes, and daughter, Judy Jones.
