WENDY THREATT WOOD

Wendy Threatt Wood, 41 of Andalusia, a very devoted mother to her two sons, Mason and Eli, lost her nine year battle with cancer on Tues., June 1, 2010.

She never missed the opportunity to be involved in any activities of her sons’ life. She showed courage, faith and desire to fight and overcame many obstacles she faced. This is a true statement of her love for sons, Mason and Eli. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Fri., June 4, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Larry Turman officiating and burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her much loved sons, Mason Harold Wood and Elijah Dale Wood, both of Andalusia; her parents, Jimmy and Sue Threatt of Andalusia; her brothers, Randy Taylor and Eddie Taylor; sisters and brothers-in-law, Danelle and Wayne Kyser and Sissy and Bubba Dye, all of Andalusia; her nieces and nephews, Kody Taylor, Marissa Taylor, Johnathon Williamson, Joe Kyser, Trae Bowen and Sara Grace Dye, her great nephews, Cooper Williamson and BradLynn Williamson; and many, many friends.

DAVID DANIEL CORDELL

David David Cordell, 78, of Andalusia, died Tues., June 1, 2010, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Sat., June 5, at Mill Creek Baptist Church with ministers Randy Kelley, Ray Armstrong, Larry Cummings, Ronald Davis and Walter Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with military honors and Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

The Rev. Cordell is survived by his wife, Martha Cordell of Andalusia; a son, Joseph Cordell and wife Michelle of Wildwood, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Kylie Cordell, Paige Cordell and Casey Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Adams, Joey Rodgers, Tim King, Jimmy Davis, Jeremy Knox, Lomax Godwin, Doug Mackoff and Andrew Stephens.

In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church building fund.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Foreman’s and 30 minutes prior to services at the church.
