A motor home was completely destroyed after it caught fire Thursday afternoon on Cottle Creek Road.

Gantt Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bill Stanley said cause of the fire has yet to be determined.

“The people living in the motor home said the only thing they know that was on is that they left the air conditioner on,” he said.

Jasmine and Chad Briggs were living in the motor home, which was parked next to the Cottle Creek Road residence, which is owned by Jerry and Angie Pitts.

Heat from the fire melted the home’s siding.
