The Harmony Cemetery has now come under the management of the church and is undergoing several changes including being renamed the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. It is located at the intersection of County Road 70 and Harmony Church Road (County road 67) in Covington County. Additional property is being donated to the cemetery and work is underway to map the existing burial lots and to lay out additional lots for the new and old portions of the cemetery.
New guidelines and maintenance fee schedules are being drafted by the church to ensure that the cemetery will be used and maintained properly for many years to come. Prior to future burials in the cemetery, funeral homes must contact the cemetery committee to confirm burial lot location and payment of maintenance fee.
To ensure previous commitments are properly honored anyone who previously purchased lots should call the church office before October 1, 2010 and present proper purchase receipts. For more information you may contact the Church Office at 334-222-8117 and ask to speak to a cemetery committee member.
