On Mon, Oct. 18, 2010, representatives from the Alabama Historical Commission in Montgomery will be in Andalusia to present an informative program to residents of the J. W. Shreve Addition Historic District and other interested groups.

The presentation is set for 6:30 p.m. in Andalusia City Hall auditorium.

Topics will include the importance of residential historic districts to the state of Alabama and to Andalusia as well as

Guidelines for preserving the historic character of a residential historic district.

Residents of this district plan to host a porch tour during Homecoming 2010 festivities.
