MILDRED OWENS

Mildred Owens, 70, of Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Oct. 28, 2010, in a Florida hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tues., Nov. 2, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with internment following in the Fairmount Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie F. Owens of Andalusia; sons, Jimmie Wayne Owens and Timothy Joe Scott Owens, both of Andalusia; daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Landon) Jones of Forsyth, Mo.; brothers, James (Bobbie) Sorrells of Red Level and Shine Capps of Andalusia; a sister, Corene Sasser of Andalusia; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Steve Madison Owens and David Robert Owens.

ROBERT “BOB” DONALD TOPPING

Robert “Bob” Donald Topping, 64, of Dozier, died Tues., Oct. 26, 2010, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Sat., Oct. 30, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Topping of Dozier; his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and David Hester of Andalusia; a son, Mark Topping; his grandchildren, Gary Beales, Amy Beales, Ben Hester, David Topping, Andrew Topping, Elizabeth Topping and Matthew Topping; his daughter-in-law, Karen Topping; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Brenda Topping, Tony and Janet Topping and Ken and Chris Topping; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and David Ware and Eileen and Jimmy Barnes, all of Preston, England.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Christine Helm.

EMMA COWART

Emma Cowart, 91, of Red Level, died Thurs., Oct. 28, 2010, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held today, Sat., Oct. 30, at 3:30 p.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home with Elder Wesley Little officiating and interment following in the Goodhope Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn (Roy) Spivey and Mrs. Janelle (Douglas) Taylor, all of Red Level; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gaston Cowart, and a son, George William Cowart.

Pallbearers will be Alan Cowart, Darin Cowart, Wayne Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Buddy Cowart and Shey Taylor.
