ELIGA GLEN SAUNDERS

Eliga Glen Saunders, 89, of Wing, died Thurs., Nov. 11, 2010, in an Opp hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sun., Nov. 14, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. John Moss officiating and interment following the service in Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday at Foreman’s.

Mr. Saunders is survived by sons, Robert (Jean) Saunders of Montgomery and Tommy Saunders of Gantt; grandchildren, John (Kathleen) Saunders of Crestview, Fla., Steven Saunders of Birmingham, Susanne (Mark) Goodin of Millbrook, Justin Stanford and Clara Garrett; great-grandchildren, Amy Bondurant, Lisa Saunders, Aaron Saunders, Micah Saunders, Dalton Darnell, Lakyn Darnell, Byne Goodin and Kyle Goodin.

CHARLES HARLON CUNNINGHAM

Charles Harlon Cunningham, 79, of Andalusia, died Thurs., November 11, 2010, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, Sat., Nov. 13, at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Kelley officiating and interment following at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Cunningham was a veteran of the Korean War and owner of C&C Tire Company in Andalusia.

He is survived by his wife, Mozell Cunningham of Andalusia; sons, Tim Cunningham of Theodore, and Brett Cunningham of Dothan; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Allen Till of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Michael Till, Anna Till and Matthew Till; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Ray Taylor of Wetumpka; and a number of nieces and nephews.

BETTY GREENE

Betty Greene, 81, of Andalusia, died Tues., Nov. 9, 2010, in the Andalusia hospital.

She was born June 25, 1929, to Willie Ray and Bessie Mae Cox Carter. She was married to the late Robert Wilbur “Pete” Greene of Andalusia. A member of the First Baptist Church of Andalusia, she was active and part of the Galilean Sunday school class there at First Baptist.

Funeral services were held Fri., Nov. 12, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating, and interment following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Ray Moore of Washington, Ga.; her grandchildren, Lane and Leslie Moore of Asheboro, N.C., the Rev. Curtis and Angel Moore of Thomaston, Ga., and Russell and Amy Moore of Helena; her great-grandchildren, Carter Moore, Ellen Moore, Ian Moore, Julia Moore, Abby Moore, Anna Moore, Alli Moore, Britney Moore, Brenan Moore and Brooke Moore; and a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Bob Pollard of Jackson, Miss.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilbur “Pete” Greene; and her brothers, John Carter, Bob Carter and Al Carter.

Pallbearers were Mike Pollard, Michael Pollard, Ron Martin, Justin Martin, Josh Martin, Mike Snowden, Jimmy Greene, Huey Greene and Jeremy McMath.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Andalusia.
