ANNIE BELLE KERVIN

Annie Belle Kervin, 100, of Red Level, died Tues., Nov. 30, 2010, in the Andalusia Manor nursing facility.

She was born in Covington County on July 25, 1910, to John David Durell and Mary Jane Nowling Durell. She was married to the late Luther M. Kervin.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 2, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alvin Radcliff officiating and interment in Pigeon Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be at two hours prior to the service at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David Orell and Louise Kervin of Andalusia; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther M. Kervin, and her daughter, Dois Kervin Nichols.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Pallbearers will be Roger Kervin, Joel Kervin, Little Joel Kervin, Matt Kervin, John Kervin and Lee Ray Berry.

EVELYN RUTH CONNER

Evelyn Ruth Conner, 93, of Andalusia, died Tues., Nov. 30, 2010, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 2, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Wilcox and Reaford Daughtry officiating. A private burial will follow in the Conner Family Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. today at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sherry Conner of Andalusia; her daughter, Grace Selman of Andalusia; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Violet Chavers of Pensacola, Fla., Jackie Kendrick of Opp, and Oralee Faulk of Montgomery; and her brothers, Joseph Clemons and Norris Clemmons.

She is predeceased by her husband, Floyd Conner; her son, Gilbert Conner; daughter, Becky Gray; and great-granddaughter, Kirsten Dean.

Pallbearers will be Levi Lumpkin, Lucas Lumpkin, Larry Selman, Dylan Conner, Eric Conner, and Brian Conner.

RICHARD CLYDE CORBITT

Richard Clyde Corbitt, 93, of Andalusia, died Tues., Nov. 30, 2010, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., today, Thurs., Dec. 2, at Red Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will held 30 minutes prior to services at the church.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Gaines) McKinley of Millbrook and Jeanie Brooks of Andalusia; three grandchildren, Claire (Lee) Drummond of Millbrook, Clay (Heather) Brooks of LaGrange, Ga., and Scott (Amanda) Brooks of Andalusia; seven great-grandchildren, Cori Drummond, Cole Drummond, Luke Drummond, Ellie Drummond, Ayden Brooks, Avery Brooks and George Brooks; and a sister, Mattie Lou Griffith of Andalusia.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda; his sister, Aileen Smith; a brother, Emmett Corbitt; and a son-in-law, Steve Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Roger Sightler, Danny Cheshire, Ray Kelley, Frazier Jackson, Mike Bess, Dudley Maddox, Keith Bulger and Don Bradley.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class at Red Oak Baptist Church.

JAMES WALKER

James Walker, 79, of Red Level, passed away Tues., Nov. 30, 2010, in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Fri., Dec. 3, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Turman and the Rev. Jeff Walker officiating and burial following in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Loyette Ballard Walker of Red Level; son, Phillip Walker of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Donnie Simmons of the Point A Community; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Keturah Walker of the Point A Community and Boots and Vera Walker of Red Level; brother-in-law, John Mitchell of Saraland; sister-in-law, Frances Walker of Cantonment, Fla.; four grandchildren, Derek Walker, Lakean Walker, Tracy (Juliana) Simmons and Jamie (Pamela) Simmons; and eight great-grandchildren.
