Volunteers for Covington County’s Imagination Library will pump gas at Gitty-Up-And-Go stores in Florala today to earn tips for the newly-formed organization. In addition, franchise owner Roy Mohon has agreed to donate 10 cents per gallon of gas pumped there today.

Last Saturday, volunteers in this part or the county collected $1,625 in tips by pumping gas.

Florala High School is providing most of the volunteers for today’s event, and they are scheduled to work from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Imagination Library is dedicated to children’s literacy. Beginning in January, every child born in Covington County will receive one book per month until he or she enters kindergarten.
