A Coffee County woman was arrested Thursday on 23 felony warrants after she allegedly fraudulently used an Opp resident’s credit card.

“On Nov. 19, Opp Police Depar-tment opened an investigation after a complaint was filed by a citizen in reference to her credit card being used without permission,” OPD chief Nickey Carnley said.

Opp Police Department officials arrested Amanda Denise Hudson, 29, for one count of identity theft and 22 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

Carnley said all 23 charges are Class C felonies.

Identity theft is punishable by a prison term of up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine up to $10,000, with a minimum term of one year and one day.

Hudson remains in the Covington County Jail under a $230,000 bond, Carnley said.

The case remains under investigation by the Opp Police Department.
