LINDA PATE SOWELL

Mrs. Linda Pate Sowell, 60, of Andalusia, died Sun., Dec. 5, 2010, in the Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services were held Tues., Dec.7, in the Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Canant officiating. Burial was held in the Paul community.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Sowell and his fiancee’ Karen Lawson of Andalusia; her daughter and son-in-law, Aimee and Jeremy Cooley of Phenix City; her grandchild, Velle Cooley; mother, Voydell Pate of Andalusia; two brothers, C. R. Pate of Brooklyn, and Jimmy Pate of Andalusia; and one sister, Judy Ward of Belleville; special loved ones, John and Madge Sowell of Andalusia; and several nieces and nephews.

HERBERT “BUDDY”

WIGGINS, JR.

Mr. Herbert “Buddy” Wiggins Jr., 64, of Andalusia, died Sun., Dec. 5, 2010, in a Dothan Hospital.

Funeral services will be today, Wed., Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Welcome Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Kayron Wiggins of Opp; his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Gary Meeks of Andalusia; a step-son, Eddie Miller of Andalusia; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Ruth Driver of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Whitehead, Johnny Tillery, Wayne Harrelson, Mike Queen, Phillip Wiggins, and Larry Jackson.

LENARD SMITHART

Mr. Lenard Smithart, 77, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Dec. 6, 2010, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 9, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ed Ganus will officiate. Special music will be provided by the Good News Quartet. Burial will follow in the Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Wed., Dec. 8, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Riley Smithart of Andalusia; sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Smithart of Columbus, Ga., and Rocky Smithart of Andalusia; daughters and son-in-law, Leslie Corbell of Andalusia, Lori and Jason Bailey of Andalusia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlos and Betty Smithart, Billy and Madelene Smithart, Jim Paul and Faye Smithart, Robert and Jean Smithart, all of Andalusia; sister, Rachel Eddins of Andalusia; grandchildren, Breanna Corbell, Ashton Bailey, Jaden Smithart, Tiffany Nicholas and Jenna Eggie; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Gladys Smithart; brother, Mac Smithart; and sister, Betty Smithart.

JAMS LAWSON JR.

Mr. James Lawson Jr., 83, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Dec. 6, 2010, in a Montgomery hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., Dec. 10, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Hunt will officiate. Special music will be provided by Louise Jordan and Michelle Norris. Burial will follow in the Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thurs., Dec. 9, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include, son, Johnny Mack (Cynthia) Lawson, of Titus; daughters, Judy Joann Hammonds of Montgomery, Rebecca Ann Terry of Andalusia, Jennifer Dianne (Pat) Bye of Montgomery and Sandra Lynn (Rickey) Byrd of Andalusia; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; brothers, Glenn Lawson of Andalusia, Steve (Linda) Lawson of Andalusia; and sister, Mary Emer (George) Bass of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hammonds, Donnie Hammonds, Dylan Hammonds, Jason Terry, Matt Lawson and Scotty Smith.
