Martha Roby, representative-elect for Alabama’s Second Congressional District, announced this week the appointment of Joel P. (Joe) Williams as her district director and Brecke Popelka as her communications director.

Williams will manage the day-to-day operations of Roby’s offices in the district, oversee her constituent services staff, and serve as her top liaison with local officials and community leaders. He will be based in Roby’s Dothan office, and will routinely travel throughout the district.

Popelka will manage day-to-day press and media operations on behalf of Roby.  She will be based out of the Washington, D.C., office.

Popelka has served three conservative Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives in the capacities of press secretary, communications director, and legislative assistant.
