Nina Taylor, formerly of Andalusia, passed away Fri., Dec. 17, 2010, in Atlanta.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Foreman Funeral Home.

DARLA CASTLEBERRY

Darla Castleberry, 51, of Largo, Fla., formerly of Red Level, passed away Dec. 3, 2010. A memorial visitation will be 2 p.m., Sun., Dec. 19, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Andalusia Food Bank or the Andalusia Christmas Angel Fund.

Survivors include, her husband, Donald Dostie; father, Robert Brace; son, Hollis Randall (Shanda) Castleberry; daughter, Stephanie (Robby) Dubose; brothers, Dennis Brace and Delmis Brace; sisters, Debbie Tubbs and Della Dostie; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Brace, and sister, Denise Brace

CYNTHIA “SISSY” LYNN WILLIAMS

Cynthia “Sissy” Lynn Williams age 38, of Andalusia, passed away Dec. 16, 2010.

She departed this earthly home with strength and unwavering faith and love for her family. She lived everyday with such zeal and enthusiasm for life.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sun., Dec. 19, at Good News Chapel with the Rev. Jay Driver officiating and interment following in the Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Williams of Andalusia; father, Frank Charlton; mother, Shirley Charlton; sons, Timothy Keith Henderson Jr. and Michael Allen Henderson, both of Andalusia; brothers, Danny (April) Charlton of Ooltewah, Tenn., Mark (Chandra) Charlton of Opp, Scott (Amanda) Charlton of Rose Hill and Keith (Stacey) Charlton of Greenville; sister, Melinda (David) Farley of Hueytown; and mother-in-law, Mayve Williams of Dozier.

The family express their heart felt appreciation to each and everyone that extended the helping hand to such a courageous lady.

STEVE ANDERSON

Steve Anderson, 60, of Red Level, passed away unexpectedly Wed., Dec. 15, 2010, in a Phenix City hospital.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., today, Sat., Dec. 18, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.

Survivors include his wife, Renae Anderson of Red Level; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Vanessa Anderson of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Steve Long of River Falls; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald and Debbie Anderson of Hermosa, S.D., and Stewart Anderson of River Falls; sister and brother-in-law, Christina and Gary Cole of Excel; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Chapman Anderson and Alberta Daisy Briggs.

JAMES W. GOMILLION

James W. Gomillion, 92, of Vestavia Hills, passed away Dec. 14, 2010.

He was born on June 16, 1918. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Leota Gomillion, and brothers, J.V. and Grady.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Lambert; daughters, Dianne Denet and Amy (Brian) Wall of Vestavia Hills and Jane (Hank) Lambert of San Gabriel, Calif.; sister, Ruby (Benson) Tomlin; grandchildren, John (Michelle) Dent, Andree (Bryce) Northen, Graham Dent, Brendan Wall, Collin Wall, Elizabeth Clair Lambert, Norman James Lambert and Mary Jane Lambert; and four great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran who enlisted in Aug. 1940 and served until Sept. 1945. He served in the 1st and 2nd Armored Divisions in North Africa and Italy. He lived most of his life in Andalusia and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Baracca Class. He was employed with Andalusia Textiles for 30 years.

Most importantly, he was “Big Daddy.” He was the happiest while spending time with his family. He enjoyed going to the ballpark and coffee shop and having lunch out with his daughters. He had a great sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh. He loved being with people and would often strike up a conversation with others. He spent most of his days outdoors working in his flower and vegetable gardens. His life exemplified dignity and grace. He taught us that the simplest rituals in life are the most important.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregivers, Danyale Bell, Janice Ford and Lisa Haynes.

The family will honor his memory today, Sat., Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating.
