Scarlett Knox and Justin Shiver are pleased to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mrs. Julie Kyzar and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Knox, all of Andalusia.

She is a 2004 graduate of Andalusia High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing in May 2008 and a master’s in business administration in December 2009 from Troy University. She will be employed with Troy University as an admissions coordinator.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Shiver of Andalusia.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Kilpatrick of Opp and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Shiver, also of Opp.

He is a 2004 graduate of Andalusia High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in geomatics in July 2009 from Troy University. He is currently employed as a surveyor with Gustin, Cothern and Tucker, Inc.

The wedding is set for Sat., Jan. 22, 2011, at Brooklyn Baptist Church at 4 p.m. A reception will immediately follow.
