Protestants lead U.S. Congress, study says

A new study of the religious affiliation of members of the U.S. Congress shows that a majority are Protestant and about a quarter are Catholic.

It lists the faith identifications of Alabama’s members of Congress, including:

U.S. SENATE:

• Jeff Sessions, Methodist

• Richard Shelby, Presbyterian

U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

• Robert R. Aderholt, Congregational Baptist

• Spencer Bachus, Baptist

• Jo Bonner, Episcopalian

• Mo Brooks, Christian

• Martha Roby, Presbyterian

• Mike D. Rogers, Baptist

• Terri A. Sewell, Christian
