A City of Andalusia Utilities spokesperson said an organization soliciting insurance protection for water lines is not connected to the city.

“A company called HomeServe is sending solicitations around the Andalusia area regarding some sort of insurance protection for water service lines,” office manager Cathy Alexander said. “This solicitation is not in any way connected to the City of Andalusia and we do not provide customer information to any sales companies.

“It appears that most of the calls we’ve received at City Hall about this solicitation are from the elderly community, but we want everyone to be aware that this is not endorsed by the city,” she said. “Of course customers can always call our office at 222-1332 with any further questions.”
