Florala’s Paige Irwin scored 18 points to help lift the Lady Wildcats to a 47-44 win over Geneva County on Tuesday night.

The Lady Wildcats are undefeated in their area after the win, and will face Kinston on the road this Friday night.

Irwin hit a tres with 13 seconds remaining to give her team a 45-44 lead. Florala then got a steal, was fouled and made two free throws for the win.

Mariah Thompson scored 10 points for the Lady Wildcats.

In varsity boys action, Florala tumbled to a 71-35 loss to Geneva County.

Lavoris Ball led Florala with 11 points.
