Florala’s varsity girls beat Kinston 42-21 in area action tonight.

The game was tied 10-10 at half time, and Paige Irwin led the Lady Wildcats with 17 points. Mariah Thompson had 11 points.

The Lady Wildcats improve to 7-4 overall, and 4-0 in Class 1A, Area 2.

With a win against Pleasant Home on Tues., Jan. 18, the Lady Wildcats will win the right to host the area tournament in early February.

In varsity boys action, the Wildcats lost to Kinston 57-45.

Hunter Oswald led Florala with 13 points, and Erik Vega had 12 points

Zack Day led Kinston with 21 points, and Alex Sansom had 12 points.

In B-team action, Kinston won 28-22.

Florala will travel to play Georgiana tomorrow, Sat., Jan. 16. The B-team will get rolling at 3 p.m.
