Flay Owens, a lifelong resident of Andalusia, celebrated her 87th birthday on Jan. 20, 2011, with a celebration hosted by her three daughters – Brenda (Guy) Ballard of Houston, Samartha (Jim) Sage of Bay Minette and Vicki (Bobby) Kitchens of Andalusia.The event was held in Bay Minette at the Senior Center. Family in attendance was Shane Reeves, Devlin and Elizabeth Colvin, Glenda Amos, James and Bobbie Nelson, Arlene Drier and Bob and Linda Fullerton.More than 75 friends also attended the party and enjoyed the delicious food, including a beautiful cake made by her daughter, Vickie, and decorated by her granddaughter, Debra Adams.
