An Andalusia man was arrested Monday for allegedly “doctor shopping” to get prescription pills.

Drug Task Force agent David Harrell said the arrest marked the end of “several months” of investigating into the activities of Guy Allen Bolling, 46, who is now facing 11 counts of possession of a controlled substance.

“Basically what we determined is that he was doing what we call ‘doctor shopping’ for prescription pills,” Harrell said. “He had been to multiple doctors and multiple pharmacies to get narcotics.”

At the time of his arrest Monday, Bolling was also wanted on warrants for third-degree criminal trespass, third-degree theft of property and second-degree theft of property in a separate incident; however, no details involving that case were immediately available.

He was booked into the Covington County Jail and is being held under a $124,000 bond.
