Straughn girls coach Scott Kinsaul gave a brief statement his team’s 56-16 loss to Brewbaker Tech in the Class 4A sub regional tournament Thursday night.

“I’m proud of the girls,” he said. “We had a great winning season — 21 wins, and nine losses. A lot of those losses came to very good basketball teams.

“We got farther than we did last year,” he said. “I’m proud of them, and wouldn’t trade them for anything else in the world.”
