LOIS IMOGENE HUTTO

Lois Imogene Hutto, 87, of the Carolina Community, died Sat., March 5, 2011, in the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Mon., March 7, at the Carolina Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Brady officiating, and burial following in Carolina Cemetery.

Survivors include her brothers, Donald Hutto and Howard Hutto, both of Andalusia; her nieces and nephews, Jean Reeves and Sandra Lucas, both of Orlando, Fla., Ann Fillmore of Brewton, Phillip Wells of Hartselle, Marsha Day of Andalusia, Michael Hutto of Millington, Tenn., Jane Crandall of Hickory, N.C., and Mark Hutto of Peach Tree City, Ga.; several great-nieces and great-nephews and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Belle Hutto; her sisters, Agnes Wells and Willie Mae Powell; and her brothers, Denton Hutto and Ray Hutto.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Carolina Baptist Church Building Fund.

JOHN C. SCOTT

John C. Scott, 86, of Ozark, died Mon., March 7, 2011, in Oakview Manor Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thurs., March 10, in the chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with the Rev. Dale Sallans officiating. Interment will follow in Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing

The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Mr. Scott was born Jan. 17, 1925, in Barbour County to the late James Macon and Emma Estelle Turner Scott. He worked in Troy with McGarity Motors as a mechanic, and then opened and operated his own automotive repair shop in Blue Springs until his retirement. He also worked with the Barbour County Road Department for a few years and continued raising his cows. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Gladys Helms Scott.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Judy Scott of Andalusia;

one brother, H. R. Scott of Ozark; two grandchildren, Tavia Scott Fischer and Grant John Scott and wife, Erin; and two great-grandchildren, Adeline and AnnaLeigh Fischer all of Andalusia.
