ALTHEA YVONNE O’ROURKE

Althea Yvonne O’Rourke, 75, of Andalusia, died Sun., March 13, 2011, in a Dothan hospital.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m., today, Wed., March 16, at the New Home Congregational Church in River Falls with the Rev. Dennis Knowles officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the New Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church 30 minutes prior to services.

Survivors include her husband, Michael T. O’Rourke Sr. of Andalusia; her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy Robinson of Andalusia, Michael O’Rourke Jr., and wife, Sarah, of Wing, Sean P. and Nancy O’Rourke and Brien and Toya O’Rourke, all of Andalusia; two daughters and son-in-law, Lori and Larry Tyree of Andalusia and Leah Waller of Mobile; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Lou McGahagin of Warner Robbins, Ga., and Janis and Chuck Sullivan of Mobile.

Pallbearers will be Ted Prescott, Kenny Johns, Kyle Whitson, Bruce Stinson, Chad Long and Chris Sherwood

RAYMON JOHNSON

Raymon Johnson, 59 of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Andalusia, died Fri., March 11, 2011, in a Knoxville hospital.

Funeral services were held Tues., March 15, from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Boles officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Bethany Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at noon today at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Johnson of Knoxville; two sons, Brian (Angel) Johnson of Knoxville and Zachary Johnson of Andalusia; a daughter, Melissa (Adam) Newsome of Cumming, Ga.; three step-daughters, Kristie Carpenter of Rogersville, Tenn., Kimberly Cox of Kingsport, Tenn., and Natosha Barnett of Church Hill, Tenn.; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and a brother, Laymon Johnson of Ocala, Fla.

JAMES M. WRIGHT

James M. Wright, 64, of Andalusia, passed away on Tues., March 15, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., March 18, 2011, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in South Church of God Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Wright; sons, Jerald (Lena) Wright, James (Michelle) Wright, Milton (Jane) Wright and Levon Wright, all of Andalusia; 12 grandchildren, Brandy, Whitney, Nichole, Aaron, Brandon, Courtney Wright, Destiny Goodman, Amber Mitchell, Abigale Goodman, Daniel Wright, Dillon and Logan Wright Ethan Burgans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stevie J. Wright and Mary Elizabeth Wright, and a sister, Frances Eugene Wiggins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Russell Walker, Eddie Gene, Wright, J. R. Powell, Michael Wright, James Mount and Arthur Lee.

KAREN JORDAN

Karen Jordan, 50, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Andalusia, passed away on Tues., March 15, 2011.

GWYNDA MEREDITH

Gwynda Meredith, 90, of Andalusia, passed away on Tues., March 15, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thurs., March 17, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Golden officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, L.D. and Beverly Meredith Jr. of Birmingham; daughters and son-in-law, Sue and Gerald Wells of Red Level and Joyce McGiffert of Wetumpka; brother, Henry Bolden Butler of Marietta, Ga.; sisters, Lorene Bryan of Dozier, Bobbie Ramsey of Andalusia and Tensie Beam of North Agusta, S.C.; grandchildren, Mindy (Tim) Bush of Mckenzie, Danny Wells of Red Level, David (Renee) Wells of Red Level, April McGiffert of Wetumpka, Donna (David) Gomillion of Red Level and Allison (Lance) Mills of Andalusia; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Meredith.

Pallbearers will be Cody Bush, Colt Bush, Callahan Bush, John Wells, Morgan Wells and Tyler Gomillion. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Whittley, Danny Wells, David Wells, Tim Bush, Lance Mills, David Gomillion, Jamie Wiggins and Austin Weathers

JOSEPHINE BALDWIN

Josephine Baldwin, 92, died on Tues., March 8, 2011, in an assisted living facility in Spanish Fort.

A memorial service will be held Thurs., March 17, at Andalusia’s First United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

She was an Andalusia native, was a 1936 graduate of Andalusia High School and lived most of her adult life in Dearborn, Mich., where she was employed as a lab technician at Ford Motor Company Hospital. She moved to Mobile in 1985, soon after her retirement from Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Baldwin, and two sisters, Lena Baldwin and Martha Baldwin Nelson.

She is survived by her brother, William H. Baldwin of Andalusia; three nephews, William E. Baldwin of Cochran, Ga., Charles G. Baldwin of Pensacola, Fla., and Christopher D. Baldwin of Hoboken, N.J.
